Andrew J. Poffel
President
As President of MacKenzie Communities, LLC, the land development
entity of the MacKenzie Companies, Andrew J. Poffel oversees all facets
of the development of its residential communities located throughout the
Maryland/Pennsylvania region. Mr. Poffel directs both the strategic
planning and operational aspects of the company including site
selection, acquisition, community product mix, architectural design,
financing, management of zoning change, and entitlement processes.
He also has oversight and responsibility for the feasibility analysis and
marketing efforts of the company as well as the land planning and
design of its communities and the construction of all required site
improvements.
Mr. Poffel has been involved in real estate development activities since
1969. In addition to residential land development, he has developed,
owned, and managed a variety of real estate including urban and
suburban office buildings, retail shopping centers, multi-family apartment
properties, and medical condominium office buildings. Over the last 15
years, Andy has developed over 2,500 residential building lots in various
communities in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
